Give Unto Others Part 2

You all know my love for podcasts and how I'm always in catch-up mode in watching because there isn't time to watch them all. Sometimes by the time I actually get to watching an episode it's weeks or even months old.

Well last month I caught the latest episode of Sock Bunny. And I actually watched it the day after it was recorded. I was really glad because Kim asked for volunteers to knit socks for her daughter and the young women on her team in the Catholic Missionaries.  The winters in Chicago are pretty cold and some of these girls don't have much. So I signed up to knit a pair for Mary who happens to have the same size foot as I do. I figured it would be easy to get that size correct.  I looked through the stash and found some Stray Cat Sock Yarn.

I guess I cheated a bit because I had half a sock on the needles.

So I finished them up over the weekend.

I don't usually block my socks but these felt like they needed a little soak so they are drying now.

And they will be off to their new home this week

Knitting for others, especially those who really need it, is one of the most gratifying experiences. The socks are just beautiful Donna and I know Mary is going to love them too.
