Yarn Along

Before getting into the knitting portion of the blog, I want to say a huge thank you to all of you who have sent your kind thoughts and words about my mother in law.  Last week was kind of a blur in dealing with it all and I wasn't ready to mention it here.  Now it is all settling in and each time I see a comment or get an email it's more helpful than you know.  All I can say is that knitters are awesome (and if you don't knit, you are cool too).

How about some knitting?

Yeah, how about some knitting????  I have a bit to show here, but my thoughts and ideas were running rampant in my mind the last week.  Let's just say some projects are changing, some new ones were born, and maybe a bit of yarn was bought.

I have had this owl obsession lately and found a cute pattern on Ravelry.
I made it for a friend who was in labor over the weekend to go with the blanket I had finished some time ago.  Once I get it in the mail I'll take post some more pics.  I modified the eyes because it's for a baby.  I didn't want to put real buttons on it so I crocheted some eyes instead.

And  now I'm knitting one for my desk.
So I carry around my owl knitting bag with my owl project inside.

I think I have a problem.

funny how a color or animal or whatever becomes a favorite. Both your owl project as well as your bag are adorable. :)

I too owls this week, but they were in a hat. I've had my eye on knitting these ornaments for awhile. Hopefully, I'll be able to knit them for Christmas.

That owl is just adorable! When Hannah was at Westfield I was always finding owl things for her because that's the school mascot. Bridgewater's is a bear and that's just not as fun.
