Oh, Hello January

Maybe it's because I had my act together before Christmas and got to enjoy it and relax, maybe because the weather was simply delightful until last week, or maybe just because I'm getting old - I am stunned that it is January.  I have done of my end of year rituals like buying new calendars or making lists and goals.  I did do a fair bit of cleaning but that's about it.

I have been knitting away, watching football, enjoying dinners with family and friends and simply enjoying life.  And that is my intention for 2016 - to enjoy life.

And that up there - that's snow falling as I left my house this morning.  I have no idea where that came from because I didn't see it in the weather forecast.  More evidence that January is really here.

I'm glad to hear I'm in good company being surprised about January. I've also been wishing for some cold winter weather, but now that it's here ...
Enjoy knitting, your family, and everything else that you can in 2016!

Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already January myself and a Monday too. I really wouldn't have minded another week [or two] of vacation..
Enjoy the snow you lucky duck!

Ocean effect snow today is what I saw in the forecast. There's nothing going on here but the Cape is supposed to get a bit. Enjoying life is what it's all about, baby!

We had a little bit of "stuff" on the ground this morning! Almost looked like little pellets of Styrofoam!

No snow on this side of the Atlantic only rain, rain and more rain.

I've been enjoying seeing what people's expectations are for this new year. I see that most knitters are practical people and I really like that about them. That and their focus on the positive. I feel like I'm accumulating some of that good vibe by visiting you all. I definitely like the idea of enjoying life. It's simple but so much, non? Wishing you a happy new year. Damnit, now I have to go find a a calendar ...

LOL! I can't believe January crept up on you. I am always aware of it's entrance because my birthday quickly follows the holidays. Not that I look forward to getting older now that I am "old", but who doesn't enjoy celebrating their birthday!!
