I have been working on samples for my class. I wanted to come up with a few projects that they could complete at a beginner level in a 4 week period. This is the hat. I just have to finish writing the pattern. All easy stuff. The first session is over and everyone who was available signed up for the second session. So I believe it went well.
I have some socks I need to complete on a deadline and once those are finished.... I have no idea what I want to work on next. A shawl for sure - but which one? Heaven knows I have plenty of yarn in the cabinet.
What are you working on these days?

cute hat! what a great project for the students!
That's a great beginner hat. Cat included for scale? LOL
A beautiful colour of yarn, a hat is always a good starter.
I've seen a picture of your yarn cabinet...yes, you do have plenty to choose from! Glad your class has gone so well, Donna. :)

I love the cat bonus! My cats always want to sneak into my yarn along photos.
What a sweet wee hat, are you going to publish the pattern? I would love to knit a few too.
Great hat, and wonderful color! Glad the class is going well.
oh that kitty in the picture is so cute! The hat is too! Now a cat in the hat - well, priceless....

What a great hat - sounds like the class was a smash hit! The cat really makes the photo :-)
I'm impressed you are teaching a class. I'm not sure I have the patient or the know how to do that. Cute hat and it would make a new knitter glad to make!
Nice hat and a great beginner project. Better than the first project I was given at 7 years old at school. A dish cloth in garter stitch. Ah well, it didn't put me off for ever. Do I take it the cat was not impressed?
Love the color!!! I think hats are a great start. They learn decreases, dpns or magic loop, and get a quick item with little effort.
I know you are a perfect teacher, because you are a fabulous knitter. Lovely green hat and a perfect intro to knitting!!
