Yarn Along

So you thought you would be seeing a finished shawl today didn't you?  Yeah - me too.  But as my eyes were failing me as I was approaching the bind off I realized something.  I wasn't going to be able to take pictures of it anyway.  At least any good ones.  It will really need to be blocked before you can see the design.  Once this humidity is gone (which I am told will be this weekend) I can get to that blocking thing I am sadly behind in. So you are seeing my finished ramboullet all spun.  I ended up with about 2700 yards.  It will make a great sweater.  Right now I'm thinking of using some blue hand spun for the yoke and knitting it in the round for a pullover.

I've been listening to this as I finish up the shawl.  Good story - not very enthusiastic narrating.  I have about 3 hours left.

So what are you knitting (or spinning, or crocheting, etc...) and reading lately?  Join us over at Ginny's

I love that you have the yarn already in such a cute bag for me to pick up :)
No, seriously, I do love your yarn [and the bag], it will make a gorgeous
sweater. Do you have a pattern in mind? Brooklyn Tweed will be releasing
their look book next week.

Love your handspun. Blue would be a wonderful complement to that rich brown. Can't wait to see what you decide.

I'm not knitting much, honestly. I finished the TTL Mystery shawl and the only thing on the needles right now are socks. I'm reading Every Secret Thing by Laura Lippman and it's quite good - intriguing and a fast read, I should be done very soon.

Your yarn is gorgeous enough to just gaze upon, whether we get to see the shawl or not! I'm such a slow spinner, I love to see how much others can do.
