What Got Finished?

So the holidays are behind us and a new year awaits with a breath of refreshment.  At least that's how I look at it.  It's a time for some organization, some reflecting and enthusiasm for new things.  But before we move onto new things let's see how some old things went.  Like that holiday knitting.  Well here was my total:

1 pair of thrummed mittens.  I know why I don't knit these very often.  Super warm - yes.  Those thrums - not so much fun.

Washcloths - six.  I only have a picture of two.  You'll have to take my word for it.  They seemed to be well received with the home made soap (which was not made at MY home).

Socks - two pairs.  I only have a picture of one.  I had the second set blocking for a couple of days and I can't believe I never took a picture of them!  You can ask my very happy nephew - he is in love with his.  And my niece left my house wearing the ones pictured above.

Hats - three done.  The fish hat was hysterical but alas, way too big for a two year old.  So I cast on the black and red one so he could at least have something that fit him.

So I was an overachiever and knit more than I had planned.  And I did enjoy myself in the process!

And this skein of yarn?  This is going to Tracey!  Congratulations!  And thanks for cheering me on.  I think she actually willed herself to win.  Every time she would see me on Facebook her comment would be "what are you doing?  Shouldn't you be knitting??"  She wanted to make sure I finished ALL the things.  Enjoy your sock yarn Tracey.

Well done! Being a Christmas knitting overachiever is a concept that is totally foreign to me, so congratulations and thanks for showing me that it can be done!
