Cruising Part 1

So we started our little cruise in Miami.  I hadn't been there in years and it hasn't changed much.  We got some lunch at a little Cuban place.

The Melon Mojito was wonderful!  All good trips have to start with a celebratory cocktail, in my opinion.

The next morning we checked out of our little hotel and went to my hubby's favorite spot - Big Pink. BIG indeed.  It's hard to tell from the picture but that cup of coffee is the size of a standard bowl.

And later in the afternoon we were on our ship, the Carnival Conquest. It had the identical lay-out of the ship we traveled on last year so it was easy to find our way around this time!  I love that when you walk on deck there's a big party going on (this was taken afterwards - I was too busy dancing to grab any good shots during the party).

We left Miami just before sunset.

And here's my favorite spot - the adult pool in the back of the ship.  Here is where I spent most of my time.

Usually because the main pool are looked like this.  Way too many people.

I had my eye on this from the first day we got on the ship.  And I never got it.  Every time we passed by the display I was too full to eat it!

Check out this cool stained glass sunflower.  This was at the entrance of the main dining room.  It's now the screen saver on my phone.

So that was the first couple of days.  I don't want to overload you on pictures in one big post so I'll be back with more tomorrow!

The views, food, and fun all look wonderful! I've always wondered if I would enjoy a cruise but it looks like it would be difficult not to have a good time. I'm looking forward to seeing more!

I'd have been with you at the back pool, too. Sounds like the start of a great trip!

It looks amazing, my daughter starts her cruise from Miami for her honeymoon, but I am not sure which ship.
