New England Fibah Festival Part One

Yes - another fiber festival.  We just can't get enough of them up here in the northeast.  This one is a bit different as it's all inside.  Which is great because weather was not a factor.  Thank goodness because it was way too cold to be standing outside on Sunday.  I love the animals at this fair.  When I saw a sign for two alpacas for $500 each I was tempted.  For 3 seconds.  I barely have enough land for a 50 pound dog to run around, much less two alpacas.  But they are adorable and I would love to have that fleece to look forward to every year.  I don't think my allergies would appreciate the copious amounts of hay needed to feed them either.  The allergies also keep my sanity and prevent me from getting that big bunny.

If I want fleece there is plenty to choose from.  You see the batts in that last photo?  All naturally dyed which impressed me.  The nice woman from Bitsy Knits was trying to convince me how easy it would be to knit that shawl with all the beads.  And look at the felted Snow White and her Dwarfs. Such detailed work.

So do you think I bought more than I did at Rhinebeck?  You will see on Thursday!

This fibah festival looks great! I don't think I will attempt the beaded shawl or Snow White, but I can certainly appreciate them. I do seriously covet that angora rabbit. Looking forward to seeing what you couldn't resist!

I would have been in heaven!

If you ever need space to house an animal [except a snake ;)} I have the space so come on down!

Wow, those colors are from natural dyes? That is amazing! Maybe I'll get to a fiber festival next year when the little babe has grown out of the "grab everything and run phase".

So jealous of the plethora of festivals you guys have. Here in Southern Indiana it is a drought! Of course, I don't need anymore stash, but it's oh so fun to shop!!!
