Yarn Along

I'm having doubts blog friends.  The knitting is not going so fast.

It's been a slog.  I'm not sure why.   This needs to be done by late tomorrow.  Why late tomorrow? Because it needs to be blocked.  A hard block so the lace pops. And that requires serious blocking which will take more than a quick overnight job.  I don't think blocking Friday night and packing it up with me Saturday is going to work.

The good news is that I'm on chapter 20 of Outlander and it has been my audio companion during this "difficult" shawl.  I can finally say I like the book and am getting hooked.

Ok - there's knitting to be done (well, after that 9-5 job thing).  Wish me luck.

wishing you oodles of luck that you meet your deadline. It is not fun when knitting is slogging.....:(

Damn that work thing. It gets in the way of knitting.

Would steam work quicker for blocking? I know what you mean about needing to block longer but maybe pinning it out and giving it a thorough steam will sort it enough that you can wear it? It does look nice already though :)

I made one shawl. I will never make another one. It takes for.ev.er. with so little to show in progress.

The 9-5 thing is terribly pesky, getting in the way of more important things like knitting ;)

Good luck getting it done! It's going to lovely to wear, I'm sure.

Oh must give Outlander a listen once I've finished the Game of Thrones series (my knitting companion at the moment!). Good luck on getting the shawl finished in time!
