Yarn Along

I know you are expecting to see pictures of finished socks in bright colors.  But I don't have any.  I haven't finished them. I was moving right along last week and getting real close to finishing.  But then I got word that an old friend was sick.  Really sick.  And my brain shut down.  It took me a day or so to get it together but I knew what I wanted to do.  Knit her a prayer shawl.

I'm sort of making it up as I go along and combining patterns that I have.  I'm using some hand spun stash that I had been saving for something special.

.
The only needles I had in size 13 are bamboo so this seems to be slowing me down a bit.  But I think God knew what he was doing.  As I knit slowly I pray for her and that she can recover from all of this.  I know she can.  She says she is going to beat this.

If you would send healing thoughts, prayers, and energy to her it would be awesome too.  Her name is Cathy and I know she appreciates it.

Joining Ginny.

Beautiful shawl and I will lift your friend up in prayer also. I know that feeling of bad news that makes your head spin for a couple days.

How wonderful to have a friend like you. I used a sweater knit for my great nephew for prayers for his health. I think it is good to knit in prayers for the person no matter what the item. After all, the warm woolies wrap them in the warmth of our love. Blessings to Cathy and you.
