I'm sort of making it up as I go along and combining patterns that I have. I'm using some hand spun stash that I had been saving for something special.
.
The only needles I had in size 13 are bamboo so this seems to be slowing me down a bit. But I think God knew what he was doing. As I knit slowly I pray for her and that she can recover from all of this. I know she can. She says she is going to beat this.
If you would send healing thoughts, prayers, and energy to her it would be awesome too. Her name is Cathy and I know she appreciates it.

Such a lovely shawl, and so much love put into it. I will keep Cathy in my thoughts. xo
Quiet, prayerful knitting can be such a blessing! I hope your dear friend feels the love and prayers you've put into this gift. You are a wonderful friend!
blessings and prayers coming your way...how lucky she is to have you for a friend.
Beautiful shawl and I will lift your friend up in prayer also. I know that feeling of bad news that makes your head spin for a couple days.
That is going to be a beautiful shawl and your friend is going to find so much comfort in it. I hope that she will be okay.
Wow, such interesting and unusual yarn; I love it!
I am so sorry to hear about your friend. It is wonderful that you are knitting such a beautiful shawl for her.
Sorry to hear about your friend :( Really love all the different colours in the yarn and such a kind thought.
How wonderful to have a friend like you. I used a sweater knit for my great nephew for prayers for his health. I think it is good to knit in prayers for the person no matter what the item. After all, the warm woolies wrap them in the warmth of our love. Blessings to Cathy and you.
Donna, a better project for the lovely hand-spun would not be found. cyber hugs and prayers for Cathy.
