Weekending

As always, the weekend flew by!  I cannot believe it's Monday already.

It was a full one though
We went to a Providence Bruins hockey game
Spent some time outside making decisions about where to put the gardens this year
I actually read for an hour straight
Hung out with mom at her store for a while
(And for those of you who guessed she was the lady on the left Friday - you were correct)
Sunday was the big RI YARN CRAWL
Where I only went to a few stores
And bought NOTHING (did you hear that?)
Spent the rest of the day spinning at the farm and completed the yarn for my next Brickless
I ended up with about 425 yards.  It's not as soft as I was hoping.
I think it will work though.  It's so hard to see the different shades of blue.
I'm sure it will be more noticeable when it's knit up.

How was your weekend?

I've gathered you are a hockey fan. My best friend's husband is a hockey player, originally from Quebec, now he plays in Charleston, SC.

I think your yarn is pretty, even if it's not as soft as you planned. I want so bad to learn to spin.

I cannot believe you bought nothing! you must have had an out of body experience. Your yarn looks very soft to me!! Lovely :) I hope it softens to your liking with a soak.

Do you spin and sell or just for your own use? This is beautiful. Can't wait to see how you wear it!!

I have occasionally gone places and not bought anything....usually if my hands are tied together!!

Sounds like a busy weekend! Mine was good but I had to work for a while on Saturday so I got a little short changed!

We had our yarn crawl here also. I wanted to go, but just didn't feel like going alone... so I passed. However, I did buy yarn on my trip to the yarn shop - LOL!

Love the colors in your yarn! Hopefully as you "knit it up", it will soften up some. I've found that happens with some yarns I've used.

Brickless will be lovely in those gorgeous blues.

That yarn looks gorgeous! Hope it ends up softer than it is right now.

What a pretty blue yarn. I recently went to a quilt show where I bought NOTHING! I was surprised that there wasn't a single fabric that caught my eye. Sometimes there isn't a fabric or yarn that speaks to you.
