Yarn Along

I bound off another project last night - it's a birthday present for a certain somebody who may or may not read the blog, so it will get it's own post one day soon after it's gifted.

I'm ready to start the first of the Christmas presents
It's packed and ready to go
It's so hard to see how beautiful this yarn is in pictures
Iv'e heard such great things about Mad Tosh Chunky.  And rumor is - you can get 2 pairs of slippers out of this skein.

I'm not sure about that.  I'll let you know how that goes.

As far as Christmas knitting goes - it's all getting posted here.  You can guess if it's for you or not.

Still reading Catching Fire and it's very different than I thought.

Still joining Ginny for inspiration.  Click the link!

I ♥ any and all Madelinetosh yarn. : ) Every color is gorgeous, and I love the one that you picked.

Oooo, that pattern looks nice. I've been looking at different slipper patterns lately. I like Ysolda Teague's "not so tiny slippers", Nola Miller's "Nola Slippers" (free on Ravelry) and one called "Grouse" by Lusianne R. (free on Ravelry). Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Happy knitting!

How cute, I have been wanting to make slippers. When I was growing up my mom always kept us in slippers, I miss them.
I have never knit with madelinetosh, but I've heard such wonderful things about it. My yarn store doesn't carry that brand, but I can order it...I love the internet!

Can't wait to hear what you think of the chunky yarn, you usually like the thin stuff like me :)

The Ballet Slipper pattern looks comfy, especially with the yarn you are using. I liked all of the Hunger Games books but probably Catching fire the least. I really have to go see the movies.
