Yarn Along

It's Wednesday and I am linking up with Ginny and so many others to show what I am knitting and reading.

About all I have time to read lately is my Weight Watcher magazine because for the most part its all Olympics ALL the time.  And while the Olympics are happening, I am knitting on my Ravellenic project, which is Color Affection.

Are you noticing the loom that I warped 2 weeks ago that has not been touched?  Probably won't be either until mid-August.  Why can't I function on no sleep?  Do you know what that extra 6 hours a day could do for me?  I know, I know..... I must make that statement every month or so.

I like how the stripes are coming out but I have to admit that I'm anxious to start the short rows.  I'm hoping I can get to them tonight.  That might be a little ambitious of me.  Most of all I am loving the stash busting idea of it all.  I have made quite the dent in that sock pile of yarn that I had in January.  But we will talk about that another day.

So what's on your needles?  And are you enjoying the Olympics or getting lots of reading done?

I am definitely enjoying the Olympics and I haven't been reading much except for magazines. I need a good book to listen to on the treadmill, though!

Thank you for your lovely comments - I agree I will get lots of inspiration from the yarn along.
I'm also loving the Olympics and we have just got our first gold - which is great for the country.

Your Color Affection looks lovely. I've marked the pattern but have to finished a few things first. I love watching the Olympics and all the extra knitting time.

It's all Olympics all the time here where I live, too.

Best of luck with your Ravellenic projects.

So pretty! I love how short rows make me feel like I'm making lots of progress.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. The Ecological wool is really nice - it's a little rough but it gets really nice if you throw it in the dryer for a short time before laying it flat.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for commenting! Your shawl is looking lovely! That pattern certainly is circulating in the knitting world right now! I have my eye on a few other shawls or I would probably start one too.
