Yarn Along

Linking up with Ginny for Yarn Along.

Reading - I'm still reading my Simple Living Guide.  It's perfect for me right now as I don't have a lot of time to sit down for long to read.  I like how I can just grab it real quick and read a story or two.

Knitting - I'm still knitting my hand spun socks.

This is sock number 2.  I am sure I will have enough yarn - the real question is if I will have enough to knit the heels out of the hand spun or have to match another yarn in there somehow.  I'm not too worried - I will make it work.

I am happy that they are kinda matching, which is rare with hand spun.

From looking at the remaining ball I think the matching should continue.  Tonight is Spinning Night so I am hopeful that these will be complete by tomorrow.

What are you reading and knitting?

Your hand spun yarn is lovely and I am equally impressed they are matching. I always try my best to match up commercial sock yarn.

Homespun socks! Such a grand accomplishment. I tried spinning once when I was a kid, and it seemed impossible!

Thanks for sharing, I am adding "Simple Living" to my must read list as we have just moved from San Francisco to a small farm in the delta with the hope/goal of simplifying and somehow making it all work.
