Yarn Along - Catching Up

I am back.  With getting ready for vacation, then going on vacation, then catching up from vacation, the blog has suffered a bit.  I haven't really posted much anywhere except a few vacation pictures. And I will do that here too, but first - let's do some Yarn Along.

My knitting has been sparse.  I actually did some spinning this past weekend.  I just love this Shetland fleece.

I have a vision of a lace shawl being knit with this, but plans change.

I haven't been knitting much because I have been reading a great deal.  Two and three books at a time. Right now I'm listening to this:

I finished reading "Me Before You" on Sunday morning and went to the movies Monday evening to see it.  The movie was just as good as the book (and I rarely say that).  So naturally I had to start the sequel.

I'm on the fourth of the Blossom Street series.  I have book number 5 in my iPad on loan from the library and ready to go.

So how is your summer going so far?  What's going on in your fiber and literary world these days? Share with us at Ginny's.

As a non-spinner, I am endlessly amazed by how different yarn looks from the fleece it is spun from. That is a beautiful skein!

I couldn't bring myself to read the book after I learned the ending before I even started it...I am sure it was an excellent read, but I have a hard time reading things that don't end the way I want :-)

Your yarn..swoon!! You know how much I want to be sitting next to you spinning :)

I just down loaded The Ship of Brides by Jojo Moyes for book club, fingers crossed that it's a good one.

The yarn you've spun is very pretty. I love the Blossom Street series. I have all the books. Maybe I will reread them. I am looking for a book like that.

Your yarn looks lovely and soft. You make me want to try and read the Debbie Macomber books, I should try them, I seem to remember they're cosy reads. My post today http://lovelyyarnescapes.blogspot.com/2016/06/wednesdays-yarn-along_8.html.
