Yarn Along

I just couldn't show you more brown today. In case you are wondering, I'm about one inch away from being ready to start the sleeves. I needed to cast on something else with smaller needles for a couple of reasons. One - my hands are killing me with that heavy yarn and large needles. Two - that sweater is now becoming not so portable.

I cast on a 10 stitch blanket to use up my sock yarn scraps. It's fun so far. I'm anxious to see it grow.

I also started a new book - Me Before You. So far it's interesting info chapter two.

So what are you knitting and reading?

you will love that blanket, I've enjoyed mine and I'm very very close to being done. Like 1000 more yards close, then it will be five by five feet :)

Oooh! I thought that was the one Karen's been working on, and it looks like it is! I just favorited that pattern so I'll know where to find it when I cast one on one of these days...
Sorry your hands are sore. I've been keeping projects of different sizes (needle and yarn sizes, that is) going at the same time to help with that, but it makes it hard to ever finish anything...

Isn't Me Before You a movie that is coming out soon? I haven't read that one yet. I started a 10 stitch blanket many year ago with my scraps and frogged it. Can't wait to see yours.

Great colors! I hear you on tired hands! I am making a temperature blanket in the trinity stitch with a 3.5mm crochet hook. A lot of stitches per row! Heavy already and I've only finished 2 1/2 months out of 12! But in the end it'll be super thick and cozy for our cold Maine winters!

Love your blanket, it is really nice and colourful :)
I look forward to seeing it grow.

so many folks have these beautiful sock yarn blankets and I was digging through my stash the other day and I found a few balls of sock yarn and was never so happy to have scraps! Can't wait to see your blankie grow.

I started a 10 Stitch blanket recently, too! But I'm almost out of worsted scraps, so it will likely go into hibernation for a while. :)

This is a good idea. I have lots of scraps of sock yarn too and never know what to do with them - until now :) Look forward to seeing the finished blanket.

Heavy yarn hurts my hands too ! You are not alone. The ten stitch blanket is so neat. I've always wanted to knit one! Getting started seems difficult to me. Is it?

That will be a great way to use up yarn. I like Me Before You I plan to read the second book.
