Weekending

The weekend was full of Halloween activities. Friday night was a costume contest (I only wore my Halloween shirt so I didn't participate - and I wouldn't have stood a chance with all the creative ideas and money people invested in this). Halloween was pretty relaxing while I watched a few horror movies and finished a book. The evening was spent having dinner with my parents and being astounded that there were no trick or treaters in their neighborhood either. Do kids even do that anymore?  I thoroughly enjoyed the extra hour on Sunday and just relaxed, knit a little and visited mom.

And we are ready for another week.

Joining Karen.

Beautiful foliage! We haven't had a lot of trick or treaters in years but they were out in my town in other neighborhoods so YES it's still a thing. Nothing like a good scary movie for Halloween!

My sister said she had trick or treater's but not many. I never get them, but we live too far from town.

Fantastic photo, such rich reds! There were very few kiddos out in our neighborhood.

We haven't had trick or treaters for years. Seems they're usually driven in to populated neighborhoods and set free. My neighbors daughter bought 400 candy bars!

We had some, but I don't think it was as many as past years. I used to just sit on the step and hand it out like a procession. There was no time to close the door before the next treater was there.

I live in one of those areas that has buses parking at the end of the street and unloading the kids.

We don't get trick or treaters either -- we must live too far out of town, I'm guessing. Sounds like your weekend was full! :)
