One of my knitting students came into class the first night asking if she would be able to knit a tea cozy for her tea pot. I said "Sure!" We experimented with some patterns over the weeks and found one that worked. I mentioned that I really wish I liked tea - I tried different ones and it still wasn't my favorite. She said "you just need to find the right tea".
So this week she came into class with a gift basket full of different teas, a "Teafu" and a dainty tea cup! I can't wait to try them all.
And she also finished her tea cozy that night.

I love tea and hope that you enjoy finding your tea and come to love all of tea's comforts and benefits. That tea cozy will keep her pot nice and warm!
That's very thoughtful of her to bring you those different kinds. I bet you'll find one you love!
Donna...what a delightful basket and the cozy is just so pretty :0) perfect for a rainy day here in the mountains :0) mari
What a wonderful gift and so thoughtful. I am a great fan of tea and I am sure that you will love once you find the right one to suit. Great tea cosy.
I love tea and I hope you find one in her selection that you like, too. It's a bit of an acquired taste to try a tea more than once. Your student is a very thoughtful person!
Tea cozy is definitely on my list, but a what a fabulous gift basket. I'm dying. Love the tea cup!
Great knit cozy. I am intrigued by the Teafu, it looks strangely cool.
fantastic cozy and I love that you went with the concept and helped out!
That Teafu looks awesome!
I did not used to like hot tea, but I do now!I think finding the right tea does make a difference. The first kind I really loved was a cinnamon orange. the brand I have is Gevalia. I recently ordered some handmade loose leaf teas from an Etsy shop and I love their peach and huckleberry. They are called the Winterwoods Tea Company. I heard of them from a giveaway at Small Things.
Awesome in every single way! Kuddos to you for sharing your passion for knitting, and kuddos to your student for such a thoughtful gift! :)
