Sunny and hot was the weekend we got. Saturday I spent most of the day in the shade knitting my shawl. There was a gentle breeze which made it delightful to be outside. Sunday turned out much hotter than expected but I didn't notice for a while. The entire family went to the Fall River Grand Prix to watch the races. Sadly our company didn't have any boats in the race (they don't have a suitable class for us to run) but we had a blast as spectators. We got to watch the first race from a huge sailboat and enjoyed the bay breeze. By the time the first race ended I was feeling a bit out of sorts. Within the hour I was nauseous and pretty dehydrated. I never had that happen before!  So by the time the second race went off I was sitting in the shade with a big bottle of water. So much for the photos I wanted to take!  We had a great time though and I can't wait for next years race.  You can't beat that much fun and action - and only 5 minutes from home!

Donna, I do hope you are feeling better, sounds like maybe a heat stroke? I have found that I can not take the heat like I did when I was younger, maybe that's why I can't wait for winter.
The boat races look like fun, we have boat races here during Water Festival.
Take care and enjoy the start to a beautiful week.

Yikes! I hope you are better reading this now. Sometimes we just don't think of our health with all the busyness around us. You did get some good photos!!

Ooo I'm with Tracey, sounds like you had heat stroke. I find the best defense is an offense and to hydrate like crazy before you even step out. Still it sounds like a good time. Love the pictures, very bright and colorful post!
