Weigh It Shawl #3 by Susan B. Anderson (my second in the series - I didn't knit the first one since it looks identical to another shawl I have) is on the needles. I bought this delicious cake of Yowza at Rhinebeck last year. It has been sitting in the basket waiting to see what it wanted to become.
It's another "mindless" pattern for now. And the purples make me smile.
Summer reading has started with Big Stone Gap. After hearing so many of you talk about it I decided to check the series out.

I love the purple yarn!! Can't wait to see the finished shawl!
I think your yarn is very happy about what it is meant to be, gorgeous color!
the colour is gorgeous on your yarn. I need to read that book also. Sweater Quest is just so good and well worth the read. She goes to Rhinebeck in the book also. Thanks for popping by and commenting on my blog.
love that yarn colorway!! I finished book two and am waiting to start book three. I MUST finish persuasion :)
this is going to be a beauty!!! my book is starting off slower than i like for a summer read...i might switch to yours!
Such a beautiful and mysterious sort of colour. :) Looks wonderful.
Gorgeous purple! I loved Big Stone Gap - it will make great summer reading.
I love the variance in the purples, it would make me smile too. Big Stone Gap is waiting in the wings here while I work on that other one everyone seems to be reading-All The Light We Cannot See...
I love the beautiful colour of the yarn, looking forward to seeing the shawl.
