Something Unexpected

A few weeks ago my awesome friend Sarah from spinning introduced me to something new - Jamberry nail wraps.  I stopped getting my nails done at the salon simply because I didn't have the time and didn't feel like spending the money.  I kept seeing Sarah with these cool wraps on her nails. When I was visiting with her she told me to try them.  I didn't think I would like them.  I had visions of them getting caught on my yarn and lifting up.  I was SO wrong.  They stayed on perfectly.  No snags, they lasted for weeks (the only reason I took them off was to try the new ones I ordered) and they kept my nails from breaking.  And they are a lot cheaper than a manicure - around $4 each time (you can get 2 manicures and 2 pedicures from one sheet).  It takes me about 30 mins. to apply them.  Not bad at all.

I was hooked.  I had an online party (my kind of party - I could stay home and knit and chat on Facebook with my friends).  We played games, the consultant sent people samples, we shared ideas. We had a really good time.

So I figured I would join them.  I became a consultant. Now those of you who know me - I am NOT a salesperson.  It's not my personality.  But these pretty much sell themselves.  And I love the idea of meeting so many new people. It has been so much fun so far.  And hey, there's nothing wrong with a little more money to spend on yarn, huh?

Speaking of yarn and spending - tomorrow is CT Sheep and Wool! I have my list and I'm ready to go. If you are going let me know - I would love to meet up with some more friends. And if you want a Jamberry sample let me know - I would be happy to send one to you to try.  You can check out my website too.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Oh neat! I've got to check that out. Im a terrible nail biter... I'm wondering if that might help me break the habit. I don't bite when I have fake nails on - but like you say - time consuming and expensive!

Hi Donna! I would love a sample to try... I'm not a salon person at all and don't even paint my nails super frequently, but I do like to have fun (and use colors like blue and green that shock my friends..if only they knew me back in highschool! ha!). Congrats to you for branching out. I'm not a sales person either!

I have a daughter in love that does her nails daily and see loves
wearing Jamberry nail wraps. I tried a sample a few weeks ago, it wasn't pretty, I could only do one hand and then I was stuck. Have you ever had a 17 year old boy help do your nails? Sigh, I will never have nice nails.

I was given some this week as a teacher appreciation gift. They are really cute but I'm not sure I did it right, the edges never really laid flat and the tips of my nails were a bit rough. Any tips?

If you don't mind I would love a sample too. I used to do salon nails but I'd rather spend my $$ on yarn (or most recently fiber :-) ) ~smile~
Thank you for the offer!
