Yarn Along

With one sleeve left to finish on the Mama Vertebrae I tried it on.  Just as I had suspected - totally unflattering on me.  While I'm not going to frog it just yet it's sitting in time out until I decide what to do with it to make it a better fit for me.

In the meantime I have my 30th high school reunion coming up in 10 days, so why not cast on a shawl to go with my dress?

It's Antarktis and I'm using Briar Rose Sophie which seems to be discontinued because I can't find it on Ravelry or on their site.

It's a nice springy sport weight so I think it will look nice.

I'm still listening to Outlander.  And now that the show is on a 6 month break maybe I can actually finish the book before it returns.

Joining Ginny.

I think a reunion shawl is a great idea Donna.
I'm sorry about the Mama Vertebrae, I hope after a while in time out you come up with a solution.

I wanted to watch the Outlander series, but we didn't get that channel and I'm trying talk my husband into canceling direct tv. So I'm hoping that it will be on Netflix soon!

My mother-in-law read the entire Outlander series years ago. She loves it. She's told me so much about it. With the new series, I just might have to dig in!

So funny that you are thinking of frogging an unflattering pattern! I'm terrified Amanda will be the same! I have really enjoyed browsing through your blog!

I like this yarn. I did a shawl a couple of years ago of similar color. I wish it was a bit longer, but I was impatient!! Have a great get together. Never read or watched Outlander. Enjoy

Ohhhh it's going to be gorgeous!! A reunion shawl is a great idea!! I knit up a few washcloths the other day thanks to your post. Would you believe we were at the Dollar Store yesterday and I forgot to pick up toothpaste & toothbrushes!!

Oh no! So sorry to hear that you don't like your finished cardi. Would you be brave enough to post some photos of you wearing it? Perhaps another blogger would have some suggestions on how to modify it.

Bummer about the Mama Vertebrae. I think a time out is good. Take a step back and whatever you decide later will be right, I'm sure.

I loved this pattern. I hope you enjoy it too. I love that you're knitting it for a dress!
