Yarn Along

The birth of another pair of socks.  This is what I was intending to post on Monday.  I was well on my way to getting them done before the weekend was over.  Ha!  My body had other plans.  But we now have another pair to add to the sock drawer.

Nothing fancy - just my basic sock recipe on size 0's, 64 stitches around.  I could have gone down to 60 stitches and it would have fit me fine.  Big complaint with this yarn - way way too many joins.  I hate that when I am knitting socks.  One of the joins wasn't even in order and had I not paid attention the striping would have been off.

Still listening to Outlander.

They are beautiful Donna, the stripes are stunning as is the colour combination.

I did not have that problem with joins in my yarn, so maybe it's the bad ball? Size 0 oh my!! I knit with 2s always.

Pretty, pretty socks!
I detest when I get a ball of yarn full of joins, kind of takes the joy out of my project.

Look at how fast you've made those socks! My stripes are off on my socks but they aren't super stripy so I don't mind.

I hate joins! Had two in a recent skein of lamb's pride sport!! Love the colors.

I hope this means you are feeling better! The socks are fun, but I feel you on hating a bunch of joins in any yarn.

I'm struggling with my sock knitting lately. I'll get there.

Such pretty socks and stripes. I had the same problem with a surprise knot and color reverse on my last sock. Frustrating.

So pretty and you are so careful with your striping - I really like that!

One can never have too many socks, and colors are perfect for the season.
