Yarn Along

Having the need for something happy, I did what makes me smile - cast on a new project.  I'm still not sure if I'm going to love it on me, but I'm giving the Mama Vertebrae a try.  With a few modifications I think I can make it work.  It's the first time I'm using Knit Picks Brava.  While I loved the price, I'm not in love with the feel of it.

I did absolutely no reading on my trip and still not sure what I want to read next.  Since the next Hunger Games is coming out in a couple of months I think that needs to get moved up the list if I want to finish it beforehand - ya'll know how slow I read!

I know that feeling well Donna and did a little casting on myself, sometimes it just makes a day feel special.
Love the stitch marker!

After knitting two Newborn Vertabraes and seeing this Mama one everywhere, I think I might cast one on for myself. I love the colour and yarn you've picked. X

Ha! I read really fast, but my knitting is definitely slow...I keep thinking one of these days my kiddos will allow me more time to knit! But, I don't want to wish away all those cuddles for more knitting time either :-) Happy Yarn Along!

Such a cute stitch marker. :) I know exactly what you mean about the Brava...I used it for my pumpkin beanie pattern (it's what they sent me for yarn support). I did some reading and discovered they use different suppliers for that line and some was well received while some not so much. Hope it "grows" on you and that you're happy with it in the end. xo Lisa :)

You deserve to read something entertaining that doesn't require a lot of thinking - the Hunger Games series is perfect for that.

that stitch marker sure made me smile!!! i haven't tried brava....some of the knit picks I love....some i've been so-so about; the dishie was good....the palette has been great; it might just be that these are the cotton/wool natural fibers i always like anyway. ??

Your yarn is so pretty. I love casting on new things. I'm jealous! I'm sorry you don't like the brava worsted.
