The Knitting Olympics. Otherwise known as the Ravellenic Games. I have participated in these games for years. The Yarn Harlot started the tradition years ago and Ravelry continued it. For my project I decided on Hiro in the pullover version. And I wanted to use my handspun. So I pulled together these colors.
And we are moving right along.
It's kinda cool how handspun self stripes itself sometimes isn't it?
I will be playing Yarn Chicken with this project for sure. At least with the blue/green. I think I will have enough but it's going to be close. Real close. So close that I may alter the pattern a bit.
But living on the edge is the Olympic spirit, isn't it?

You know my door is always open so grab your bag and get down here, I will put the teapot on and you can pull up a chair right beside me in front of the wood stove. We can watch the Olympics, talk and knit the day away.
No ice here, just rain, although I was praying for snow!
I do like that blue/green combination ... we're doing a whole unit on the Olympics, so it's been quite fun watching and knitting ... and knitting some more!

I don't knit fast enough to finish anything during the Olympics. I just lost some yardage chicken and had to make a run to the yarn store. Luckily she had just what I needed and it was fun to browse.

Knitting and the Winter Olympics just seem to knit themselves together, don't they? I too am amused with striping yarns. I do not stay on Ravelry enough to learn of all they do...sounds like a good plan to make a game of knitting projects though.

I love that you're living on the edge! I can completely relate. It looks good. I told myself I wouldn't get sucked into the Olympics this year. I don't do the official knitting Olympics, regardless, I got sucked in last weekend. Happy Knitting! And I'm rooting for you in your game of yarn chicken!
