Yarn Along

I'm joining Ginny in her Yarn Along today. Have you checked that out?  You really should.  Not only can you see all the incredible things people are knitting, but Ginny has been nice enough to compile a list of  all the books we have been reading.  I'm sure there are a few on that list that are going in my B&N wishlist.

Socks are being completed slowly but surely.  I spent Monday night catching up on CJ Kopek and The Knitgirllls and knitted on the socks until 1:00 AM.  I payed yesterday because when I sat down last night to knit on the blue sock with those tiny size 1 needles my hand was in pain.  It simply hurt to knit.  So I knit nothing.  Tonight is Nicole's chorus concert at school so I am hoping to start the second green sock (those are being knit on size 2s which I don't have to grip as tightly).

How do you like those iPhone car photos?  That's what I was reduced to this morning.  The fog was awful and the inside lighting just washed all the photos out.  I noticed when I put my basket in the car this morning that the light was actually good.  So there you have it.  Improvise when necessary.

Hope your hand doesn't stay sore for long!

I like your ingenuity with the in-car photos - gotta find the light when you can, right?!

I am LOVING the yarn in the last photograph. Gorgeous! Hasn't the morning fog been something terrible the last few days?

Oh, sorry your hand hurt! It's too bad, because knitting round and round is supposed to be soothing!

Improvising is an important skill for bloggers! I hope you get lots of knitting done at the concert.

I love Janet Luhrs's book! It was my simplifying bible for years! I know what you mean about the lousey photo conditions inside--you did well with the cell!!!!!

Great socks! Rest up so you can knit more.

Love that Simple Living book. I borrowed it a few years back and Bailey ate the cover. Needless to say I got to keep it and buy the library a new one :-). But I have read it cover to cover and am happy to have it in MY library. Love all the yarn. Wish I was clever enough to knit socks. My skills haven't moved much behind scarfs, though I did knit one beanie and a simple wrap :-).

Very pretty yarn! I've never tried to knit on size 1s I fear I'll go mad...
