Fall Fiber Festival

This past weekend was the first New England Fiber Festival in West Springfield Massachusetts. For you locals - it was held at the Big E. I went with no expectations (and not much money). It was a nice festival. There was a holiday influence that you don't see at the other fairs (who is thinking about Christmas in May?). I found it to be very cozy and the crowds tolerable. That could change next year as it becomes more popular. I love Rhinebeck but the crowds frustrate me at times.

So what did I get? 4 oz of BFL from Knitty Bits.

I will spin that to make myself a neck warmer.

And what do I usually cave in to at fairs?

Yep - sock yarn. But it was half price and I fully intend on making Christmas gifts with it.

I got some homemade soap for gifts. And a couple of cute knitting pins that I like to put on my knitting bag.

And now the task begins of spinning and knitting what I have acquired this year. Because after all - the Spring Fiber Festivals start in 6 months!
