10 On Tuesday

I don't usually do a 10 on Tuesday post. This one I saw on Caroles blog hit my hot button though:
10 favorite iPhone apps

Twitterific. I would never tweet without this.

Facebook. I don't post much but it's great to see what everyone else is up to.

Pocket Informant. Great organizer. I'm still trying to get everything on there. With the recent lacrosse/field hocky/school musical/karate/choral rehearsal/voice lesson schedule it has been my bible.

Shake and Spell. It's like my favorite childhood game of Boggle. I was a boss at that and nobody in my family wanted to play. Now I can play it by myself.

Pocket Bingo. Great amusement for about 5 minutes. Gets my bingo fix in.

Weight Watchers. I would never track my points if I didn't have that one.

Rockband. Need to be in touch with my inner child. Great way to play!

Prayer Journal. This is almost like a spiritual Twitter. You follow people and what they are praying for. Everyone prays for each other. It's neat to see people of all different religions being on the same team.

WPRI.com. This is our local news site. It's great for weather and I had a blast tracking our first thunderstorm of the season last week.

Blogpress lite. Without this I would hardly ever blog.

My favorite time of year

I love this time of year. The promise of summer is in the air. The buds are popping up on the trees. The birds are chirpping away. And the pollen flies freely. Well that's my "not so favorite" thing about the spring. But the rest is all good. Even better is the thought of Fiber Festival season being upon us. And the best - sitting out in the sun spinning that awesome fiber.

Hoppy Easter

We couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend weather-wise. It was just beautiful. I had a rather long "to do" list over the weekend so I didn't spend much fiber time out in the sun like I had planned. I knit two rows while sitting on the deck before company came for Easter dinner. I worked on Shawl That Jazz. It's difficult to take pictures of but here are a few.

It is a series of short rows so it can't be stretched out properly to see the progress. It kinda stays bunched up on the needles. But I like that it is rather mindless knitting and lately that is about all my brain can handle.
